ABOUT
Carina Medd Veterinary Physiotherapy is owned and run by Carina Medd, a fully qualified and insured Veterinary Physiotherapist.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life, growing up with horses, dogs, cats and even stick insects and fish! I am never happier than when surrounded by animals and the great outdoors. My journey to becoming a Veterinary Physiotherapist started when I sadly lost my best friend Sam (my golden retriever) at the amazing age of sixteen and a half. Sam struggled greatly with arthritis in his later years, and although I did all I could to manage this, I believed there must be more that could be done. So, I investigated further and discovered the amazing world of Veterinary Physiotherapy. I wanted to help other animals and leave a legacy for my beloved Sam.

Alongside my everyday job of being a Primary School teacher, I re- trained with The College of Animal Physiotherapy and gained a Diploma in Animal Physiotherapy in 2020.I have a keen interest in animals diagnosed with Arthritis, and in the use of therapy dogs which work with children who have Autism and Special Educational Needs.

I complete regular CPD, attending courses and seminars, to ensure I am always up to date with the latest professional development and technologies. This enables me to provide the most up to date information and treatments for my clients. I am friendly and easily approachable and provide a high level of care for my client’s animals, as if they were my own.
